'Bristol City Open Top Tours' was established by Warwick Hulme in 1994, trading as Rubicon Classic Enterprises, with a leased-in Bristol FLF open top bus. In 2000, the company became one of the founding franchisees for the global City Sightseeing brand, and has developed to operate more open top buses, some of which have subsequently been replaced by more modern low floor easy access buses.

General 931 GTA is described as semi-preserved by the proprietor, Warwick Hulme, and carries a version of Devon General NBC red livery with broadside advertising for Launa Windows, which it carried in NBC days. This bus is occasionally used on the City Sightseeing tour. E305 MSG previously operated in open top form for Edinburgh Tours in Edinburgh, Scotland, on a Guide Friday-branded sightseeing tour there, in a light green and cream livery. T75 KLD was previously used as a normal bus in London with Metroline as its number TA75, and was converted to part open top by Ensign before sale to City Sightseeing Bristol..
