OTB Heading2

Welcome

Welcome to Opentopbus.net. Our aim is to publish information on open top buses all over the world, including fully open top buses, partly covered open tops and convertible open tops, whether they be current passenger-carrying buses in regular public service, such as sightseeing tours, regular bus services, sea front services, special events and private hire companies, buses used for promotional purposes, privately owned buses, museum exhibits, non-psv use, or buses now scrapped or no longer in existence. You will appreciate that this is a major task. This website has existed for several years now in a basic form listing mainly current United Kingdom-based buses, with a few entries for the rest of the world. Over the past year, the Opentopbus.net team has identified and researched details of many more buses, from all over the world, and at the time of publishing this version, there are 2571 buses in our database in 51 countries, and we know of more, and so it is now possible to publish lists of a much greater number of buses than previously.

Opentopbus.net is run by a very small team of people who have other jobs to do, so this is a hobby to them, but one which they give a lot of time to. However, as for any individual, there are limitations of time after work, domestic life, and dare I say it, holidays. The good thing about holidays is that they can be spent seeking out and recording some of the buses that are listed on this website. We are working whenever possible on gathering data to present to you.

If you any information that you would like to offer to us, we would be delighted to hear from you. This of course applies to lists or individual pieces of information on any open top bus or owner/operator. Please send any contributions by e-mail by clicking here

Meanwhile, happy browsing.

Updated on Wednesday 16 September 2009

Opentopbus.net has been previously updated only on an annual basis, but now that we have a lot more information, we will endeavour to update it more regularly. The date shown above is when this version was published. Occasionally changes may be made on a daily or weekly basis, and sometimes there will be a longer period between updates. Please come back regularly to check for updates.
